All I have is these drool worthy images of the gorgeous slice creations from Charlbella - it's torture!!!!!! The only saving grave is that I know I can stock up on them at this Saturday's EPM - the last for the season so I am going to buy up big to keep me going through the winter - oh, Saturday - you can not come soon enough! Tell us about yourself and what you create...

I have grown up on the Mornington Peninsula. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderfully supportive husband as well as two little girls and another baby on the way, which allows me to cook and share my food with everyone. i love cooking all types of food but my favourite would have to be sweets. I'm addicted to chocolate and couldn't imagine life without it! Which is why chocolate features so predominantly in my slices and treats.

When did you know you first wanted to cook?

When I was 12, I loved being in the kitchen with my mum as well as both my Nannas. Food brings so much happiness to people, its hard not to be inspired.

What inspires you to be creative in the kitchen?

My mood. I find that dependent on how I'm feeling, I tend to cook accordingly. Cooking for me is an outlet and allows me to relax. I also love doing Sunday bakes, where I get my two girls to help me in the kitchen, they love it.

Describe your perfect day...

Packing a picnic and heading down to the beach for the day. Eating, swimming and relaxing in the warm sun!

What is your best ever creative moment?

Scouring the pantry for ingredients for Rocky Road only to come across some honeycomb I had left over. I added it in for something different and my Crunchie Rocky Road was born!

Describe a lesson you learnt from creative cooking failure...

Not to be disheartened when things don't work out. You learn more from making mistakes and taking risks than not doing anything at all.

What's the scariest movie you have ever seen?

I can't watch scary movies they give me nightmares, I think the last one I saw was the Sixth Sense!

What's the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Treat others how you want to be treated. Simple yet very true!

What's your favourite tunes to get you in the creative mood?

Anything!! I am a big fan of Cat Empire, Wolfmother, anything really!

What do you love most about the EPM?

Everything! The atmosphere, the people. It's just amazing and fun. Not to mention the awesome stallholders :)   Thanks Rach for sharing some insights into your creative life. You can catch these tasty treats at the EPM this Saturday (our last of the season) from 9am to 2pm!
